In the past couple of years ive had some pretty rough times with Retail Therapy due to mental health stuff which ive recently started seeking help for a few months back.
During that time ive racked up over 10k on 1 credit card with really high interest that im struggling to pay down. Ive managed to get a zero interest card but only approved for a fraction of what i owe, and have looked into personal loans but all of them seem to have just as bad interest as im currently dealing with if not worse.
Ive tightened down my budget, stopped basically all of my spending except for groceries and other necessities and one date night with my SO every other week for the sake of our relationship health.
A second job is unfortunately not an option for me as i have some set personal responsibilities to attend to after work.
I just recently switched jobs and have just become eligible for my new company's 401k plan. Im going to transfer my previous 401k over from my old company where i had it for over 9 years.
The obvious answer to me seems to be no after looking at the fees (income tax + 10%), but i figured id double check after seeing a couple articles that say it could be a viable solution for high interest credit card debt.
I know i can take loans from my 401k but idk if im eligible this soon, and for that high of an amount.

Hi! I have a question po regarding sa RCBC Digital App.
Matagal po ba talagang mag-update ‘yung app sa recent transactions? ‘Yung “Available Credit”, nag-uupdate agad every transaction (I used my card for online payments) pero ‘yung “Outstanding Balance”, ‘di agad nag-uupdate. Hindi din agad lumalabas sa “Recent Transactions”.
May gusto po kasi akong i-try sa app, ‘yung gagawing installment ‘yung isang purchase ko na hindi pa nagre-reflect sa app.
Billing Date ko na po kahapon and ‘yung ibang transactions ko, wala na din sa app. Hindi ko na po ba pupwedeng i-change to installment ngayon any purchases bago ‘yung Billing Date ko?
Saka wala din pong lumabas na Statement of Account sa app saka sa email ko.

My aunt received a credit card bill for $3 - a purchase she did not make, in another state, on a card she hasn't used in well over a year. She immediately disputed the charge. This occurred in Jan/Feb. The credit card company initially denied her fraud claim but she appealed it. No offical response received since. The credit card company has been reporting her late to the credit bureaus and has added on an additional $100 in late fees, finance charges, and penalties.
Shouldn't credit reporting be suppressed during the open dispute? She just spoke to them again and they acknowledge they received her 2nd dispute in April... yet they are still reporting her late. Other than letting the dispute play out, what other recourse does she have? She filed a CFPB complaint a couple weeks ago but the credit card company says they will respond in 60 days. On the phone just now they also suggested she pay the balance while they investigate (she is not, because she found info online suggesting that any fraud claim might be rendered invalid if she pays the charges).

We have yet to use our $300 travel credit and our card anniversary is in August. We are planning our trip in October and want to take advantage of the credit prior to August. Can we book a flight or car before August and use the credit even if the flight is not until October?

I went to the game last night, had a blast, love sitting in the 300's section being able to order to your seat, especially with the new pitch clock the game moves a lot faster so I was in my seat for pretty much the whole time instead of usually wandering around the park
Anyway, something weird I noticed, I ordered a beer and tipped on my credit card (I think 15 percent, so like 2.50 for a 16 dollar beer, it is what it is) a girl came and delivered my beer, opened it for me and handed it to me and then said something, I couldn't quite understand she said something like, would you like to give me a tip? I was a little embarrassed and said I thought I tipped on the card? She was very nice but said something like, "I don't get that/we don't get those"? "would you like to give me a separate tip?" Or something like that, I told her I was pretty sure I tipped on the card

Ang hirap mag apply ng credit card para sa isang freelancer. Way back 2021, I had 200k savings sa BDO debit card ko, pinadalhan ako ng credit card ng BDO. Pero hindi ko nakuha kasi umalis na ko sa bahay namin. Hindi ko hinabol makuha kasi hindi ko pa kailangan nung time na yun. Pero ngayong 2023 na, narealize ko na kailangan ko pala. Kaso 20k nalang savings ko sa BDO dahil marami ako pinagkagastusan netong mga nakaraang buwan. May chance pa kaya na maapprove ako sa credit card sa BDO?

Just wanted to know if there was a way to lower the fees for all this stuff. I am paying 16.95 for my chequing account, $3 USD for my US chequing account, and about 33 bucks a month on credit card fees (annual fee).
I have not been paying attention to the state of my RBC account because it is not my main account, but it's also my oldest account on file (over 20 years). I have 2 chequing accounts, 2 savings accounts, a direct investing account, and an investment account (retail side). I have a decent amount of money in the investment account (north of a million), and am kind of surprised that they did not reach out and waive any of my fees. I actually don't even have an advisor of any kind. I recently opened an account with TD and they are offering to waive all my fees (including CC annual fees) plus a much higher cashable GIC rate (currently 4% for RBC while TD is offering me 5.25%) if I switch.
Does RBC have any customer retention, I went to the branch and told them I was switching and they offered me $6 off my chequing account lol. Surely I'm doing something wrong.

Wondering if I have to take action here. My nephew used my credit card to start a gym membership without my knowing. After finding out, I claimed fraud on the visa and had the card replaced, statement refunded, etc. But the gym keeps emailing me with "past due" charges and won't let me cancel unless I pay a cancellation fee and the past due payments. Will ignoring the charges (keeps getting denied by the outdated card) have any unforeseen consequences? Or do I really have to pay the fees.

This isn't a real order, but it's one that I intend to make. I don't expect anything to go wrong, no one does, but if it does I want to know what I'd have to work with.

Item 1 £88.61, Item 2 £137.44, Item 3 £191.43, Item £130.56. Postage is £34.39. The total would be £582.43.
If something was to happen, the issue I'm concerned about is the package being lost in transit. The shipping method is by boat and insurance only covers £57, far below the value of the order. Full insurance is included with faster shipping, at far higher price (hence why I'm considering all this). No one expects their package to go missing.
In the even that six months after ordering, the package has gone missing what would be Section 75 claim be able to do, I would be claiming from the credit card company.
Every example on guides state a situation where 1 single item only is above £100, or two items combining to go above. Individually, 3 items go above £100, but 1 doesn't nor does shipping.
If a Section 75 claim was made and accepted, would the Credit Card company only refund the three items above £100, leaving my out of pocket for the 4th and shipping?
Would it be rejected as there was insurance given even though it does not cover what was spent, or that more expensive insurance was available?
Furthermore, does the shop know that a claim has been made? Usually charge backs lead to bans from shops in Japan, and I wouldn't necessarily want to stop shopping from the store as they didn't lose the package or control the insurance of the courier.
Overall, I'm considering whether Section 75 itself can be treated like insurance.

Hey, I have made a decently large purchase online (~3k$) and the merchants called me to ask pictures of the credit card used with the numbers on the back. At the moment that raised all the red flags it could in my mind and ask if there’s any other way and agreed on something. After researching online I found out that merchants can ask for the information to make sure it isn’t a fraud.
I wanted to ask if I should send him pictures, or maybe confirm via phone.

Hey guys, I’m hoping for some advice regarding credit card debt in the UK.
I have moved overseas, I moved 6 years ago and I had credit cards in the UK which I haven’t paid, they are registered to me at my parents house so understandably there have been numerous letters and phone calls but I haven’t been there to take them.
The most recent letter, around a week or so ago, is from the “county court business centre” for a claim on behalf of solicitors, I assume from a debt collection agency that has bought the debt from the bank!
I can’t find a solid answer online about the repercussions of not paying credit card debt in the UK and the only thing mentioned on this most recent letter is;
“do not ignore this claim form, if you do nothing then: judgement may be entered against you with further notice, this will make it difficult for you to get credit”
Now my main question is, if I just keep ignoring this what will happen apart from I assume more phone calls and letters, will any legal ramifications come from this?
The debt with this card is around £3.5k.
The collections agency don’t know where I’ve moved to and have no contact details for me.
I’m not fussed about bad credit in the UK as I am happily settled elsewhere now so that’s not an issue, just if any legal action could be taken against me!

I have GDB the Revenge to cover basically everything animation and combat, plus SRCEO.
I searched Reddit and found mods with growl. I searched YouTube and found beautiful PC mods that make me want to load up the credit card.
I want to fire fast up close block and melee. There was a really badass mod on YouTube that let you pull out a dagger to melee!
