I posted before on the headaches and other symptoms I’ve been having. Today I was supposed to go to my doctors appointment, but due to some circumstances, my mom couldn’t take me. I do not own a license yet, and the drive is pretty far, so getting there on time was not granted. The symptoms I’ve been having has been worsening by the day significantly. The occasional eye pain and tightness or pressure sensation now happens almost everyday. I still get headaches only on my left side all over, and leg aches in the left side as well. The immense pressure accompanied by the full feeling on the left side of my face and head still remains as well. My appointment has been bushed to the 14t of this month and I truly don’t know how long I can wait. My mother does have insurance but she’s a single mother, so any spontaneous visits are not necessary unless it’s a dire situation or vital. I’m very concerned that this eye thing may be glaucoma or some infection. I’ve had sims vision issues ever since the whole ordeal worsened. Is there anything I can do at the moment?

I had watched the original series a few months ago and the word I have to describe this series is interesting, not good, neither bad, just interesting
The lore, the psychological issues the characters endure, the relationship between the characters and just the mystery revolving around it all
It's truly amazing
As I say in the title, I just finished the movie and I prefer the original series
The thing that got me into the series and to watch it all was the mystery revolving it all, what are the evas? What happens after death? Are we truly lonely?
The movie just doesn't capture it all, for example
At the start of the series when you have Shinji entering the robot for the first time and everything happens so fast
You want to know more and the series ends the episodes in sort of cliffhanger which adds more suspense to the show
Not only that but you feel the characters at a deeper level, you feel humanities worst fears, you just feel like the world is ending
For me it scared me a lot thinking that maybe after death we will all be united as one, but after thinking a lot about it and realizing that we do not know what happens after death, I'm kind of ok with it
As I was saying, I feel like the movie failed to capture what brought me into the series in the first place
Don't get me wrong, the movie is good and really abstract, but I don't know if I can call it interesting
I got really confused about it all, but after reading some more perspectives I feel like I got a few of the things I wasn't getting it
Another thing I didn't like was the design o>f the "new" angels, it just didn't click it, it felt kind of terrifying, the evas and even the angels (for me at least) never had that horrendous vibe
Now that I talked about what I didn't like I would like to point out some aspects and my thoughts
To start, one thing I really liked about the series and EOE does it really well is the feeling that no matter how much humanity is doomed or close to it, we will all prefer to fight against each other and try to use others to obtain our goals or interests
Now into the movie
I feel like Asuka and Rei are differents parts of shinji, as he says in the movie asuka is like him (I think regarding to losing their mom and traumas) but they never actually bond, you usually just have asuka beating the shit out of shinji and putting him down
In a way it's like Misato says at the beginning "You hate yourself, don't you? That's why you hurt others. Deep down you know you suffer more when you cause someone else pain... than if you just let yourself get hurt."
Asuka is the part of him that rejects and hurts others and Tei is the part of him that solely rejects others and does everything others tell him to (this is probably a really bad take, but I feel like Asuka and Shinji just complement each other, they are like each other, but are afraid to get close, so they don't get hurt)
I was really confused through out it all
Why does Asuka after spending days torturing ourself and feeling hopeless, suddenly regains her urge to live? I feel like it's due to reconnecting to her mother again, but why does it happen so out of the sudden?
Why doesn't shinji help her? While she is fighting the new angels?
I think he even hears her scream, but never tries to help (maybe it's because they really don't want to bond and realize they are so similar, they are afraid to hurt each other)
I feel like by the end, when Rei starts creating the thir impact and enters shinji's mind that he atarts questioning himself what is it that he truly wants, does really want to be an individual and feel pain or just be an unique entity, but still feel bad?
For me, they all returned to the unique entity, they all returned to god
When shinji and asuka come back, not only they are the only ones to come back, but the dialogue and their actions just feel like they are the same as inside of shinji's mind
For me it was kind of part of shinji's imagination (since before he also has this dialogue with rei) and they are all now reunited with god as one being
But humanity still lives, since Eva-unit 01 still exists and is proof of humanity's existence

2023.06.02 21:55 Sharp_Ad_8925 I have 4 dogs, 1 new cat. 3 of the dogs are doing okay but I'm struggling with one dogs obsessive and aggressive behavior.
First time cat owner here, i adopted a cat a little over a month ago (Murphy, 5yr, maybe part maine coon? male). I also have four dogs, two small (Jack, 12yr chihuahua mix, male) (Sadie, 11yr, xolo mix? Female) and two big dogs (Bo and Angus, 5yr goldendoodles, both male).
Murphy is currently living in my room till i feel that the dogs will be okay with him living in the main house. He also gets to go out and explore the house when the dogs are out, and he's doing really well with that.
Murphy gets along with dogs really well, we knew that both from what the shelter told us and in his behavior around the dogs. We've already gotten Jack introduced, they get along great and just hang out together all the time.
Sadie.. likes him? She's a weird dog and is kinda aggressive with how she likes things (she absolutely loves playing with Bo but she plays really rough and has accidentally injured him a few times) they've been in the same room face to face and done okay, but she kinda just stares and wants to just watch him (i know her very well, this isn't the kind of "I'm about to attack" kind of staring. Thats just what she does). They'll be fine with a bit more work, I'm not worried about them.
Angus is sweet with him but he's also big and loud and barks when he's excited about things, so Murphy doesn't much like him. No hint of aggression between the two at all. They'll be completely fine with eachother in no time.
Bo worries me though, he's constantly hovering by the door (literally have to have someone hold him when i need to go in or out cause he tries to get in). The first time he saw the cat was when he slipped past me into my room and started chasing Murphy. Second time was through a baby gate in the hallway but it was short lived cause he jumped over the gate and i had to shut the door quickly so i couldn't get in. Third time he once again slipped past me, Murphy panicked and hid under the bed and Bo followed him under, lifting up the bed as he tried to squirm underneath (i got him out, murphy was scared but untouched and completely fine)
I've been having Murphy go onto the top shelf (about 8ish feet up) and letting bo in when he's up there safe and out of sight to let bo sniff around and hopefully obsess about getting in the room less. And they've been smelling eachother under the door (and Murphy paws at him when he's laying by the door). There was a short moment where Murphy was sticking his paws fully under the door and Bo was just sitting there watching, which is probably a good sign?
Letting him in the room occasionally has definitely helped a bit though.
I just have no idea how to get them to get along, i know some dogs just don't ever get along with cats and I'm really hoping thats not the case with Bo. He can jump over or knock down any gate we put up, so the usual baby gate with a cover over it method doesn't work. And I've had people suggest just putting them together and letting them work it out but i have no clue what Bo would do if he actually got to him and i really don't want anyone to get hurt.
I just really don't want to have to choose between keeping the cat or the dog. Thats a horrible decision to make and I'd be heartbroken with either option.

Murphy is currently living in my room till i feel that the dogs will be okay with him living in the main house. He also gets to go out and explore the house when the dogs are out, and he's doing really well with that.
Murphy gets along with dogs really well, we knew that both from what the shelter told us and in his behavior around the dogs. We've already gotten Jack introduced, they get along great and just hang out together all the time.
Sadie.. likes him? She's a weird dog and is kinda aggressive with how she likes things (she absolutely loves playing with Bo but she plays really rough and has accidentally injured him a few times) they've been in the same room face to face and done okay, but she kinda just stares and wants to just watch him (i know her very well, this isn't the kind of "I'm about to attack" kind of staring. Thats just what she does). They'll be fine with a bit more work, I'm not worried about them.
Angus is sweet with him but he's also big and loud and barks when he's excited about things, so Murphy doesn't much like him. No hint of aggression between the two at all. They'll be completely fine with eachother in no time.
Bo worries me though, he's constantly hovering by the door (literally have to have someone hold him when i need to go in or out cause he tries to get in). The first time he saw the cat was when he slipped past me into my room and started chasing Murphy. Second time was through a baby gate in the hallway but it was short lived cause he jumped over the gate and i had to shut the door quickly so i couldn't get in. Third time he once again slipped past me, Murphy panicked and hid under the bed and Bo followed him under, lifting up the bed as he tried to squirm underneath (i got him out, murphy was scared but untouched and completely fine)
I've been having Murphy go onto the top shelf (about 8ish feet up) and letting bo in when he's up there safe and out of sight to let bo sniff around and hopefully obsess about getting in the room less. And they've been smelling eachother under the door (and Murphy paws at him when he's laying by the door). There was a short moment where Murphy was sticking his paws fully under the door and Bo was just sitting there watching, which is probably a good sign?
Letting him in the room occasionally has definitely helped a bit though.

Anyone else finding MBS (and by extension of that, the newest page format update) absolute shite and three steps back from how we used to manage pages?
The amount of times I have to post, repost, delete because erroneously posted, delete because not posted publicly (despite setting it to public) and manually post because scheduling is whack is absolutely ridiculous. The actual MBS UI is dog's breakfast, so clunky, and I don't find it user friendly at all. Having to direct off the site completely just to edit or delete posts? Why?? Just let me delete it directly from my page! Want to keep using photo albums for your business? No chance, now the links to them no longer work and we've effectively hidden the photo/videos tab behind a lot of irrelevant and uncustomisable chaff because pages are now more like personal profiles. Why is it asking me to list hobbies? It's a business, as a business it does not have 'hobbies'. As well as various other useless options, like family and relationships for a business?? How does that work exactly? I seriously think they've prioritised 'influencer' format pages over actual businesses.
Feel free to add any other issues below, I'm beyond frustrated and would appreciate knowing I'm not the only one..

I made a post a little while back asking for advice on how to handle LEEP procedure pain, when I thought that’s what I was going to have done. However, when I called to schedule, the scheduling lady told me the doctor said I can pick whichever one I want to do (LEEP or cone) I’m confused, I’m not a doctor and I don’t really know what is ultimately better. I know that both procedures have a good success rate, but now I’m even more confused than I was before. Is this a normal response to receive from a doctor? Does it not really matter which I pick? Anything helps, thanks everyone!

Some of you may recognize me as the author of the post regarding my use of cocaine and me being drug tested a few months back. At that time, I was not-so-eagerly awaiting the result. As Fate (I prefer to capitalize it, as I believe it to be a divine force) would have it, the result came back positive. Unfortunately for me, I reside in a "mandatory reporting state". This means any infraction that my state's BON deems egregious enough to be reported, MUST be reported in a timely manner. That being said, my supervisor reported me.
Let me first say, before continuing, I absolutely know what I did is illegal. I knew it beforehand, I knew it during, and I know it now--I will not defend my actions. I have always been so successful, and have worked so incredibly hard all my life to be the nurse I am. I was a nurse for nearly 5 years in a specialized ICU at a Level 1 Trauma Center. I was great at my job, and I loved it. Patient advocacy has ALWAYS been my greatest concern, and I ensured I NEVER "used" before, at, or around the clinical setting. I got into an exceedingly competitive and strenuous graduate school program to earn my Doctorate, as well as an APRN license. I was a few years in when this situation occurred.
My primary reason for writing this is because I now will have to enroll in a substance abuse program for three years, in which I am told is excruciatingly tedious and not all enrollees make it through. Random drug screens can occur any day throughout this period, I am required to attend AA meetings regularly, and I am barred from working in a critical care setting for at least one year. All of this, all of my lifelong hard work down the drain because of a SINGLE positive drug screen. I don't have so much as a parking or speeding ticket on my record. I was an ambitious and high-achieving RN, and now, I have to put mine and my partner's future on pause for three more years. As we approach my main point here, I simply wish our culture was somewhat more forgiving. I made a single mistake and now, I feel as though everything I've ever done is for nothing. I realize I would need to be punished or monitored for at least some period of time, but a three year, cut-throat sentence for a singular, small infraction, in my mind, speaks to the culture that surrounds us all; we are unforgiving. I simply wish all of you who read and may be taking a substance at home in your free time to take away from this that you very well CAN end up like me. I am not invincible, and neither are you. My heart goes out to others like me, as well as to those who lost much more.
I will learn and grow from this, but I find it so disheartening to think back to how such a stupid decision could lead to such a severe consequence with resounding, profound effects. I just needed to share anonymously. Thank you all for your time ❤️

Okay so I’ve been dating my boyfriend for 6yrs now and we’ve been living together for 2yrs. All of the time we’ve been together I’ve always caught him checking out other girls on his social media. Not just random girls. And not just once either. So basically he will try to find someone on Instagram (a girl) either someone he’s done things with, someone he’s seen around, my friends, girls I don’t get along with, and my coworkers as well. He will search for the same name and click on tons of different profiles to see if it’s the one he’s looking for. And he won’t just stick to Instagram, he’ll use Twitter, Snapchat and Facebook trying to look for the same exact girls on every single platform. He’ll delete it most of the time but sometimes he’ll forget and of course I’ll catch it. In the beginning we’d fight because I went through his phone to find it etc. but after 6yrs I don’t even go looking for it anymore. For 2 of the 6yrs I stopped looking at his phone all together, but oh boy when I did… the amount of girls I saw him checking out.., actually makes me sick. I bring it up sometimes and he lies to my face all those times but thank god I always keep screenshots. And even then he’ll lie to get out of it or won’t say much at all except “I won’t do it again.”

Spoilers for obtaining one of the shrines.
I just need to air my grievances about the one part I HATED in possibly my favourite game of all time. To set the scene: it's the evening before a work day, I'm vibing to this awesome game, I'm about 160 hours in and finally ready to knock out my last few shrines so I decide to try to speedrun them out to get the reward. I've spent days filling out the depths so I can compare locations and can finally track all the surface shrines down. After doing all of them I realize there's still one left and it must be in the sky. I check via hero's path and I've been on every sky Island I can see. I look up a map of the sky and see two shrines in a grey blob on the map, and I've only found one. So, I go to the one, get on a zonai flying device, and blast off into the worst, most sadistic part of the game.
My major issue with this section is that it's a three dimensional puzzle that you need to do entirely blind. You can't see much further than a few steps ahead of yourself through the intense fog, lightning, and heavy rain, and there's nothing you can do to mitigate it. To compare to other "blind" areas like the depths or the gerudo valley sandstorm, there are contextual clues that help you find things in those areas. In the depths, there's gloom on surfaces that can help you perceive depth (ledges, cliff faces, pits), you can see the lightroots from very far away, glow potions/clothing work, you can use brightbloom seeds to light your path, and there's a faint outline of the environment you can see, so even if I had no glow buffs, I could still navigate by watching the edges of the roots I was climbing on. In the desert, the space is more "two dimensional" than the others; you just need to travel on a single plane, you can still see shrines in the distance, and if they're on a cliff it's still easy enough to navigate to and then you just climb to it from ground level when you're there. You can even use the various wind currents or tall structures to get your map back for a moment, get your bearings, and glide over everything.
The combination of things that are lacking in the Thunderhead Isles makes it a truly miserable experience:

- The most obvious is that you can't see. Even with my feet firmly planted on an island, it's hard and kind of scary to walk around because my vision is so narrow that I can't even see ledges. I could easily just walk off a ledge and lose my place altogether because I can't even see where the ledges are. Don't even bother considering seeing where your next sky Island (your "objective") is. For this reason I was constantly lifting and re-placing a travel medallion, but even having that medallion didn't make it any less frustrating.
- It's perpetually raining, so if you walk off a ledge and save yourself by grabbing the wall, you could still easily slip and fall off if you don't have the full froggy gear, slip resistant potions, or stamina meals.
- You don't have a map to mitigate the lack of sight. The map is just a grey blob. Still nothing to tell me if my place contextually or relative to the beeping on my shrine sensor. Also the shrine sensor made me MORE frustrated in this bit because it was perpetually either above me or below me but how the eff was I supposed to perceive the entrance to the shrine that was hidden behind a wall? I was pretty angry that I couldn't even use the blue/green glow as a reference, but honestly when I did eventually get to it I still couldn't even see the shrine until I was practically tripping over it. Unreal.
- There are puzzles to get from Island to Island, but the lack of contextual clues around you make the puzzle solving redundant because you have no way of connecting why you're doing what you're doing or what the next goal is. Sure I can put a board on a rail and hope it takes me somewhere, but I can't see anything to tell me what's next or whether I'm, you know, supposed to interact with things while I'm riding it.
- Even with guides, this island was a bust. After running around, falling off, teleporting back, and ripping my hair out for two hours, I looked up a few guides, I got coordinates, I carefully checked positions on the (greyed out) map, and I tried to locate islands with "landmarks" (lol, landmarks in an area where you can't even see your hands in front of your face), but even with all this, even having a guide telling me which Island I needed to be beneath and what ability I needed to use to get to the location of the shrine, because navigation is so brutal it still took me way too long to find it. I ended up giving up, going to bed, and trying again when I got up.

Hi all, just looking for some quick advice.
I’ve been RPing with this particular person for almost a year, and he’s been great so far: we’ve crafted quite an involved, multi-faceted world together, eagerly bouncing off each other’s ideas and communicating efficiently throughout. He’s a great RP partner, he’s always very understanding when I happen to be busy IRL, as well as ensuring that we’re both comfortable with anything that comes up in our storyline.

A few months ago, my [24M] friend David [25M] was complaining about how he gets zero matches on dating apps. He asked me for advice since I do well on the apps, and I gave him some tips to improve his profiles. He still wasn't getting matches so I asked to see how he swipes. Now David is an average looking guy, a bit short, a bit portly, and he was only swiping right on gorgeous women.
I told him bluntly that men have a hard time on the apps because they have way more men than women, and he needs to drop his standards to get a first date, much less a girlfriend. I know he has a bunch of really minor dealbreakers and expects his future gf to share his hobbies. So I told him that soulmates don't exist so he should drop the minor dealbreakers and hobby requirements. And that he can find someone who will eventually become his compatible life partner so long as he's willing to become her compatible life partner.
Fast forward to yesterday, I invited David out for drinks with some of my friends. My friend Gloria asked how it was going with this girl I had been on a few dates with. I told her that she was alright but a slightly messy eater. The last time we went out to dinner, she got sauce droplets all over her white blouse and was completely oblivious. So I realized her messy eating gave me the ick and because she was also a bit boring I'm not gonna continue seeing her.

I laughed it off at first, but for like 15 more minutes he kept making jokes about how I think I'm so good looking but I'd be forever alone without settling. So I made a little joke that "Some people can't afford guac on their Chipotle, and some people can afford to eat at nicer places altogether." David immediately gets angry and asks what the fuck that's supposed to mean, I tell him that some people can afford to be picky. He continues to act hostile, asks if I'm too good to follow my own advice (well I'm not the one who can't get a date), eventually tells me I'll die lonely and storms off.
Back in high school I was a dateless dork. But I put a ton of work into my appearance, from my physique to my grooming to my skincare to my fashion. For David, who puts zero effort into his appearance besides slapping on a button-up sometimes, to act like we'll have the exact same dating experience seems delusional. Hello All! So I will be finishing my Associates in Public Health at the end of this year and then after that I am looking to move to North Carolina. I want to prepare for the move and start looking at what kind of job opportunities there are out there. My focus for my Bachelors will be mental health but I am willing to do anything that my degree may open me up to. I want to make a decent wage and was hoping for around 35k/year. The issue I'm having is that when I go to look for more opportunities I find that there's a lot that I don't understand. I know some opportunities will require me to get certification which I am completely willing to do but when I go to find jobs many of them require Bachelor's degrees.
Does anyone know of any websites or tools that breaks down this process or even allows me to actually filter it by education? I use Indeed but even when you filter is doesn't always work for me.

Hello. I have a dataset of fluorescence values. Most of the pixels in my image (99%) have an in intensity of ~200. However, there are a few pixels in my image that have a much higher intensity (~80,000) due to some inhomogeneity in my material. When I add color to the image the range of intensity values image J considers is then 0-80,000. The problem with this is that 99% of the pixels in my image show up as black because 200 is much closer to zero than 80,000 on the color scale. The image I get is then entirely black with only a few colored spots. Does anyone know of a way I can manually set the color scale on image J? For example, I would love to be able to do something where I can assign values 1-20 as color 1, 20-40 as color 2,....... 1,000-80,0000 as color 50. Basically, is there a way to assign unequal bin widths to the intensity values on the color scale/histogram? I tried saving a cropped version of the image with the high intensity values excluded in hopes that it would reset the color scale bar, but it did not work. I have attached images of my issue for reference. Thanks in advance for any help!
