 | Hello everyone I wanted to share my experience and tips for anyone who is struggling with this currently! I started with one patch which they call herald/mother patch at the beginning of May this year, I went to urgent care and they told me it looked like PR and prescribed me prednisone & Hydroxyzine which is MAINLY to calm down the itch, they told me that PR doesn’t necessarily have a cure because they don’t know exactly what triggers it. They also told me to seek a dermatologist if it gets worse which it did. Any dermatologist that was near me did not take my insurance, the closest one that did take my insurance was about 2 hours away. So I just decided to do some research and investigating instead. I saw what worked for other people and tried it, so here is some pictures of my PR and things that I used along the way. First 2 weeks were probably the worst for me, it quickly spread from my stomach to my back, then to arms & under my armpits. Week 2 was when it spread on my thighs and the back of my thighs.. I was still taking prednisone, I even got a shot of it on my ass and it was the WORST pain ever.. I saw that Acyclovir worked too so I started taking that as well. Hydroxyzine worked for me when it came to the itch and I even applied a lot of cortisone & steroids cream on certain spots.. I think I saw the most progress when I started to apply lotion 3X a day all over me (picture of the lotion down below) and taking Lysine & vitamin C vitamins everyday. And one big thing DO NOT TAKE HOT SHOWERS. That was a MAJOR trigger for me. I used to take hot showers but now I keep the water luke warm or straight up cold. PR does NOT like hot water. Week 3 some of the spots started to fade away into my skin and the itch wasn’t so bad but I was still doing everything I possibly could to make it go away. I even stopped drinking alcohol & going to the gym (so I wouldn’t get hot & sweat) for about 2 weeks…By week 4 the spots were gone but my skin felt really flaky and dry in certain spots and there was still a few on the back of my thighs but not too bad. Even if you feel like the spots are going away please still apply lotion, don’t shower with hot water and take vitamins! Everyone’s skin is different but I recommend everyone keeping the same routine so it doesn’t come back!! People who are suffering with this are probably feeing super insecure about their body but I promise do everything you possibly can and with time it’ll eventually go away!! It’s hit a one month mark for me and I still feel itchy and dry at times! Trying to disappear for first few days of MIL visit
We haven’t seen my in-laws in over a year and half and all I can say is thank goodness!
They’re traveling to New York from New Mexico, showing up on Monday for a week-long visit with us (where they’ll be staying in our home). I'll be on a carefully scheduled yoga retreat from Saturday-Tuesday, missing the first day and half of their visit. My husband is beyond frustrated with me, but I think I’m being generous considering our history!
I’m from an emotionally intelligent, educated family where we treat one another with respect, openly seeking help for our mental health issues (ranging from anxiety to autism), not taking our struggles out on one another, and the parents are always the parents and the children are the children.
My mother-in-law, on the other hand, acts like a spiteful 12-year-old. When I was pregnant, I invited her to travel from her home (then in Indiana) to stay with us and attend the baby shower. She arrived just hours before it started, demanding to be entertained (thus, I attended my shower with dirty hair and no makeup). During the opening gifts portion, she gave me handkerchiefs as a gift “in case we can’t make it out to get diapers” (we live in a city!), and then she accused all of my friends of giving her “the stink eye” and started weeding my garden mid-party.
When I gave birth to our twin girls, I told her she couldn’t come visit them before they were 2 months old UNLESS she got a flu vaccine (as twins are often underweight and a flu can be devastating--this was recommended by my OB, that only non-smoking, flu vaccinated adults be around the babies). She refused. I did indeed deliver early, with one of our girls weighing under 4 lbs and ending up in the NICU. SHE CAME ANYWAYS! She made my poor FIL drive from Indiana to NYC and arrived in my hospital room dressed to the nines and stinking of perfume, demanding to hold the healthier baby. When my husband asked if she’d sanitized, she said “I already washed my hands at a McDonald’s in Pennsylvania.”
My husband was so torn--I was hormonal, worried about our baby on the ventilator, and recovering from a C-section; I demanded he kick her out or I would get a divorce. He was crying saying it was his mom, what could he do? My own mother interceded and told me that my husband was doing his best, that I had to be patient.
Fast forward several weeks, both babies are finally home. I’m going to the grocery store for the first time, breasts aching between pumps, and I get a message from her that she's’ consulted a lawyer and is suing for custody of “her babies.” WTF?!?!? I came home crying and my husband finally established some boundaries with his parents, especially regarding the way my MIL talks to me, but the nonsense continues.
It’s 8 years later, but every time they visit, there’s some nonsense. When the girls were 10 months old, she’d take them out of their playpen and walk away, saying, “they’ll be fine. I always let my kids do whatever.” She let them chew on keys and plastic knives, treating me like an overprotective nutjob. In her defense, my own parents said I was a bit of a helicopter mom and over the top about organic food, but they RESPECTED my choices when they were with my kids.
I thought my MIL must know how I feel about her after all of this, but clearly not. Once again, in the grocery store, she contacts me (this time calling). Her dad had died, and she asked me how to cope with it. I was 35, she was in her 60s. I’d experienced far less loss (only grandparents and pets)--I don’t know why she chose me. I talked to her the best I could, trying to be comforting, but it was bizarre and confusing.
The last time they visited, they had an obese, elderly terrier that she insisted I buy “ranch dressing” for, so she would eat her food. They got this dog designated an emotional support animal so they could fly with it, the annoying part being I had to keep my two well-behaved 50lb dogs away from “Baby” during her visit because “they upset her.”
When we tried to have a one one talk with my father-in-law about what he wanted for his retirement (having spent over 50 years as a mechanic), she ran down the stairs, assuming we were bad mouthing her, screaming that we don’t understand her, ranting that my FIL fixed a neighbor's sink 30 years ago and he definitely had an affair with her, that he has undiagnosed Parkinson’s and autism (which he clearly doesn't have), and we don't’ know what she goes through. I rushed my kids upstairs and counted the minutes until they left.
This past year she’s texted my husband constantly about her daily worries, her relationship with his dad, their marital problems, and EVEN ABOUT THEIR SEX LIFE! Yuck! (How her husband still has a libido, but because of her OB problems she’s not interested… I hate that we know this). My poor husband went ashen after this text. I poured him a bourbon and ordered him takeout.
He said to ignore it, like he always does, but I sent her a stern text about boundaries (that my husband has a demanding job, a special needs daughter, another daughter, and lots on his plate! That we’re here for them in emergencies, but she’s crossing the parent/child line and it has to stop). She simply responded “okay.” I was shocked when she began to respect this boundary for several months. But then they hit us up for money to come visit us and relatives in Indiana (having been conned out of a fortune by their other son, a drug addict, and their grandson, a layabout). We offered plane fare and nothing more (we can pick them up and they can stay here), but they declined.
Bottom line, I cannot stand this woman--I cut out toxic people, and if she weren’t family, she wouldn’t be in my life. Of course I’m delighted I’ll miss the insanity of welcoming them (and their dog) into our home, but my husband is beyond bitter. He’s completely warm with my family, but I must say, it’s not hard. He said he never knew how a normal family functioned until he married me. I’ll be polite, but am spending minimal time with my MIL. AITAH?

Someone help me understand a question I’ve always had for our community….MOST (emphasis on “most” and not all) Black women have expressed the want or a soft lifestyle, a provider and masculine husband or partner, and just being in their feminine energy in general. And MOST (emphasis on most again) black men, have expressed the want to be the head of their households, have a feminine wife, to be masculine and respected and to provide. So if we all (in general) want the same thing. Why do you think it doesn’t work? I see that (some) black men say they want to be masculine and a leader but directly do the opposite when in a relationship, and (some) black women say they want a soft life and to be feminine and get into a relationship and do the opposite. If we desire the same kind of relationship dynamic essentially, why is there so much infighting and public/online hostility. What’s wrong with being a team player? I want to hear honest opinions. Personally I think it’s one of those things where people say one thing because of the masses/peer pressure but deep down know they don’t have the means to do it. And instead of coming to terms with this, they blame the opposite sex for their own shortcomings

I’m so overwhelmed. I have lost almost 25 pounds and I can’t see it on my body. Apparently nobody else can either. I did this in the month of May alone from eating basically nothing. I’m still obese but you would think I would notice. Now I look in the mirror and see someone who belongs on my 600 lb life when the scale says I don’t. I feel like the scale is lying to me every time I way. I keep thinking I’m getting bigger. My therapist has mentioned anorexia. I don’t understand how. Before I had bulimia but near the end of April I noticed lost how most of my gag reflex basically. Couldn’t throw up anymore. Realized all bulimia did was make me gain so I just stop eating most of the time. Kept it under 600 calories most days. It feels like the weight loss I have had isn’t even real because nobody has noticed changes in my body. My doctor saw the drop in weight in the middle of the month but that’s it. It just makes me want to not eat. I don’t know what to do.

Hi everyone, so my health anxiety is back. the past 2 weeks I’ve had really bad allergies, and constantly feeling congested. I’m also having these brief moments of dizziness, which makes my anxiety worse. I’m supposed to ovulate tomorrow (as per my app), I’m panicking about what could possibly be wrong with me. I’m just not sure if this is the congestion causing the dizziness? Or my anxiety because of my PMDD?… it usually happens in the am when I go back to bed after taking my anxiety medication (Effexor 75 mg) and I go to lay down certain positions are what cause it and it last like 10 seconds. I’ve mentioned it to the doctor he said I’m so congested it’s hard to say if it’s anxiety or allergies.
I have my full blood done less then a month ago, everything was fine other then b12 was deficient but I’m taking something for that already. Blood pressure is always around 115/75. If anyone has any experience or advice?

Sorry if I worded it bad. This is my mom big time for me but I will explain and maybe y'all can connect.
Because not all autism is the same and I wanted to share my experiences that my mom assumes because I was diagnosed with autism.
I don't have much sensitivity to lights. My mom: Turns on the brightest lights ever while flashing a light in my eye and I wake up
Mom: Ahhh it's probably your autism and sensitivity to light.
Me: No mom why you have a flash light near my eyes
I have no sensory issues to touch. My mom putting lotion on her cold fingers right before taking tuna out before cooking.
Me: Backs away
Mom: That's autism right there you are sensitive to being touched.
Me: You literally have cold Tuna hands bro.
I did not want to make this long but am I the only one who has these experiences.
I wanted too note everyone who does have these issues are valid. But sometimes people just assume because they are doing the most exaggerated things and wonder if y'all can connect.

I really can’t take any harshness right now. Please be gentle. This has been a lot for me to handle, I’ve been suffering since November and have been near suicidal. Just trying my best to be prepared for things to ask/bring up at my next appointment.
Last month my gastroenterologist ordered a SIBO test from metsol.com, it was the Lactulose formula. Came back negative. - It seems like Rifaxamin (Xifaxan) is like the go to when it comes to treating SIBO. Then why is there the importance of classifying the 3 different types, when it seems it’s just that one medicine is used to treat all of them?

It was a decent FF movie for what it was going for. I feel like, near the end though, it lost the plot a bit and went off the rails. But I think it was pretty interesting for a 'true crime/possession' movie.

I just boarded my dog at a pet lodge near me. I did a test day for her to stay a few weeks back. I’ve dropped her off today and I am boarding her for a week. I know it’s stupid. But I just have terrible OCD and anxiety. I’m so scared for my dog. I didn’t even get to see her take my dog to her area. I’m just super worried that my dog won’t be taken care of despite having a good test day. This is kind of a rant but I guess how do you all feel if you take your dog with a lot of anxiety to a boarding place. I feel so scared.

Someone help me understand a question I’ve always had for our community….MOST (emphasis on “most” and not all) Black women have expressed the want or a soft lifestyle, a provider and masculine husband or partner, and just being in their feminine energy in general. And MOST (emphasis on most again) black men, have expressed the want to be the head of their households, have a feminine wife, to be masculine and respected and to provide. So if we all (in general) want the same thing. Why do you think it doesn’t work? I see that (some) black men say they want to be masculine and a leader but directly do the opposite when in a relationship, and (some) black women say they want a soft life and to be feminine and get into a relationship and do the opposite. If we desire the same kind of relationship dynamic essentially, why is there so much infighting and public/online hostility. What’s wrong with being a team player? I want to hear honest opinions. Personally I think it’s one of those things where people say one thing because of the masses/peer pressure but deep down know they don’t have the means to do it. And instead of coming to terms with this, they blame the opposite sex for their own shortcomings

I have the compression vest and am just over 4 weeks post op. I have been wearing it 24/7 since I got surgery, unless I was showering or washing it. My incisions are completely healed, I keep my nipples covered while they finish healing and I have very little if any swelling. My problem is that I have started to have back/rib pain and the tight compression has been triggering my anxiety as I have a hard time with tight clothes. Pre op I had the same issues with binding and barely used a binder in the past year. My surgeon wants me to wear the vest 24/7 for 6+ weeks but it’s really messing with me. The past two days I have only been wearing it if I leave the house and while I sleep but if I’m just at home, I’m really not doing anything. So I’m wondering how long others were required to wear their compression items post op and if I should continue to wear it or if what I’m doing is ok? My surgeon isn’t answering my messages right now and my PC seemed surprised when I said I had to wear it for 6+ weeks. Thanks.

My vise project is going slowly, mostly due to me constantly putting it back together to use it, but also because I've lost two of the four screws that hold the plates on.
I actually wouldn't even mind replacing the plates entirely as this baby has obviously seen a lot of hard use for a lot of years and the plates are incredibly banged up. The were actually compressed enough and dirty enough, I nearly broke my ratchet getting one of the screws out.
My friendly hardware person found a screw we thought would match. It has the correct chamfer angle, threading as post length. But the head is too long and grinding it down would remove enough of the Philips cross to make it useless but not enough to make it vanish entirely and replace it with a flat slot.
I've been trying to find replacement plates that would match and it's a nightmare.
I believe that Wilton has compatible parts but I can't find any kind of reference. Not any for Irwin.
I'm hoping the Reddit hive mind can help.

So I was pretty sold on the Honda Fit until I read about the Pontiac Vibe. I really like the idea of a Toyota engine for a Pontiac price. Seems like I can get a newer one with lower miles for about 2-3k cheaper than the Fit. Also, the interior was the only thing I considered a downside about the fit- and that it seems impossible to find one with a sunroof in my area. The Pontiacs nearly all have sunroofs and the interior seems much more comfortable and appealing.
This will be the most expensive car (or thing in general) that I’ve ever bought. I’ve always been frugal- opting for 90’s Hondas that I could fix myself. I’m just at a point where I want to invest in something that isn’t going to break down all the time. I know 10k doesn’t seem like a lot but for me it is- I really want to make the right choice. For me, reliability is the biggest factor. I want this car to carry me 300k+
I know that Honda doesn’t cut corners, and if I go for the Honda, I’m getting a great engine in a solid package. I also know that the engine in the Vibe is solid as a rock- perhaps even more so than the Honda…but what about the rest of the car? Pontiacs don’t have nearly the same reputation for quality as Honda. Do you think they may have cut some corners on other important parts of the car’s general integrity?
My other question is- are the vibes with the ZZ2s the only vibes worth buying? I want something 2010 or newer- again the reason I’m saving up and investing is to hopefully not have to concern myself with too much maintenance for a good while.

This will be the most expensive car (or thing in general) that I’ve ever bought. I’ve always been frugal- opting for 90’s Hondas that I could fix myself. I’m just at a point where I want to invest in something that isn’t going to break down all the time. I know 10k doesn’t seem like a lot but for me it is- I really want to make the right choice. For me, reliability is the biggest factor. I want this car to carry me 300k+
I know that Honda doesn’t cut corners, and if I go for the Honda, I’m getting a great engine in a solid package. I also know that the engine in the Vibe is solid as a rock- perhaps even more so than the Honda…but what about the rest of the car? Pontiacs don’t have nearly the same reputation for quality as Honda. Do you think they may have cut some corners on other important parts of the car’s general integrity?
My other question is- are the vibes with the ZZ2s the only vibes worth buying? I want something 2010 or newer- again the reason I’m saving up and investing is to hopefully not have to concern myself with too much maintenance for a good while.
Anyone have experience with one or both of these cars with any advice to weigh in? Much appreciated! Thanks 😊
Edit: one thing I forgot to add- I hydroplaned my Honda Del Sol (I live in thePNW 🌧) recently and it was terrifying. Another reason I’m leaning towards vibe is I’m thinking the AWD feature is less likely to plane on the highway in the rain. Is there any weight to that theory ? Thanks!

Im located in calgary alberta, Canada, need the header panel for an 03 marauder. Im told a mercury grand marquis header panel works as well. I have contacted all the places near by and everyone says nothing, which surprised me because the grand M is so common. Any help would be appreciated, i need to get my car back on the road.
