Sometimes I see someone will post a list of self care things to make sure you have done before bed, I have been looking for some comments along those lines to write in my journal but now I’m looking I can’t seem to find any! Does anyone have one they can share?

Trying to apply for student loans for the summer term, each time it says error within application. I’ve been trying for about a week now and have sent them an email and tried calling and nothing. I’ve tried on my phone and laptop and iPad and in incognito mode. Does anyone have any other trouble shooting ideas? I’m starting to panic I might need to submit a paper application which probably won’t get processed in time.

Some details changed because she uses Reddit. I'll try to keep this as short as possible. TL;DR at the end.
I (39M) met Anna (38F) at the University, we attended the same PhD. We've been together for 15 years now.
Around the 10 year mark, Anna started experiencing some non-specific symptoms, like fatigue and dyspepsia. It didn't affect her much so she figured it must be stress or just poor diet (she has an ED history) and didn't visit her GP. The symptoms eventually turned more aggressive, she did end up going for evaluation but was always dismissed with stress diagnosis. She developed severe hypochondria and had regular panic attacks. Doctors, again, did nothing. Due to the nature of her work and the fact that she didn't sleep, she got fired which just made her mental health worse, especially since she was now staying an entire day at home, alone. At this stage, she was unable to function on her own and I was her sole caretaker. She started rapidly losing weight and on her 5'9 height, she weighted barely 100 lbs. Fortunately, the pandemic hit, I switched jobs and the work was remote which meant I could be there for her. Her mental health suffered greatly, she started having really dark throughts and would beg me to break up with her. Or just leave house for a while so she can "rest".
Fast forward a few months, she was finally diagnosed and started her theraphy. She's now able to care for herself (like go to the bathroom alone, prepare some basic meals, move around the house). Here's the issue - I'm not sure what happened as I can only assume but she started being anxiously attached to me. I tried addressing this with her but she just says "she owes her life to me".
Here's just some things that come to my mind: - She'd wake up before I do and prepare (elaborate) breakfast and pack my lunch before I go to work. She's still doesn't work and has no places to be. I get up at 6 am. - Constant physical contact like sitting in my lap or hugging me. Even in public, even if other people are evidently uncomfortable. She was never physically expressive and generally hates PDA. - Inability to go several hours without texting or calling - Doesn't have strength to leave to house but gets really bummed when I see other people. So I just don't leave our place anymore. - Sex multiple times a day. She accidentally let it slip out she just does it because "she enjoys pleasing me". Well, I don't enjoy when she's overstimulated and forcing herself. But anytime I tell her, I can tell she gets sad even though she tries to hide it.
I can't even describe how many times I tried telling her, in a nicest way possible, to knock it off. She either laughs it off, playfully negotiates it until I cave, or gets really sad or upset (at herself, never at me). I can't say I'm too upset with some things - like physical aspect of it - but she's doing it for wrong reasons and I can't enjoy it. When I met her, she was this sexy woman who minded her own business and told me to go fuck myself when I deserved it. Now, I feel like her parent, like I'm still her caretaker. She's my soulmate and not even once I thought of leaving her when she was sick, but now I think it's the only way to tell her this isn't healthy behavior. She says she does it because she's grateful and that this is what her therapist suggested her to do (I highly doubt this is what he meant but fine). What to do?
TL;DR: My girlfriend survived a serious illness and is trying to "make up to me" for sticking by her side. However, she's doing too much and it's making me uncomfortable, to say at least.

We filed an N12 with a termination date of May 15 and filed for L2 in early May, as the tenant informed us they would not be moving out then. We didn't pay the N12 compensation (1-month rent) until five days after the termination date (paid May 20), and we don't have a hearing date scheduled yet.
Would this cause an issue when the hearing happens? If so, does it make sense to reapply and repeat the N12/L2 with a different termination date? I don't want to wait 7-8 months for a hearing and have to reapply due to the payment after the termination date - I would rather cut my losses on the one month I've already waited.

Someone help me out here. I'm following FP in Scala, the red book and I am currently at chapter 4, where we define our own `Option` type. This type, like other collections, takes a covariant type parameter `A`:

enum Option[+A]: case Some(value: A) case Nothing 

The book then asks to implement some methods for this type, including:

def getOrElse[B >: A](default: => B): B = this match case Some(value) => value case Nothing => default 

This is where the confusion starts. Notice the type parameter annotation `B >: A`. As far as I can tell, this means `B` is a supertype of `A`. I read this as a constraint. I can only pass values of types which are supertypes of `A` to this method. However, the following compiles without any issue:

Here we have `Item` which is a supertype of `Buyable` which is a supertype of `Book` and a type `Yolo` which has no connection to the other 3 (that we see explicitly, I'll get to this later). What I would expect is that only values of type `Item` or `Buyable` could be passed as an argument to `getOrElse`. However, it accepts `aBook` and even `aYolo` completely fine.
I got a bit closer to why by inspecting the types in the Scala REPL:

scala> :type x.getOrElse(anItem) Item scala> :type x.getOrElse(aBook) Buyable scala> :type x.getOrElse(aYolo) Object 

Here we see what happens: the first case is fine. `Item` is a supertype of `Buyable`, so this satisfies the type constraint of `getOrElse` and returns an `Item`. The second case, I would have expected to be a compilation error: `Book` is not a supertype of `Buyable`, so this doesn't comply to the type signature. However, we see that Scala implicitly casts my `Book` to a `Buyable`, resulting in valid code. The last case takes this even a step further. `Yolo` has no relation to `Buyable` at first glance, except that both are subtypes of `Object`. So Scala implicitly casts this expression to `Object`.
To me, this makes no sense. If Scala implicitly goes up the inheritance tree, then why does it need the `[B :> A]` constraint on `getOrElse`? Scala has a top type, every type is a subtype of `Any`. By doing implicit casting, I can pas any value of any type (pun intended) to this method because if you allow implicit casting, the contraint means nothing. Worst case scenario, I get back an `Any`.
Can anyone shed some light on this? Is there a way to turn off this implicit casting?

What an absolutely atrocious movie - one of the worst I've ever seen. Two full hours that were extremely boring (minus 3 kinda creepy scenes) and made absolutely no sense, some of the worst dialogue I've ever heard, below-average acting across the board (minus lead actress Isabelle Adjani who was inconsistent - sometimes good, sometimes bad), and...well...I don't know what else to say. How does this film have a 7.3 rating on IMDB and four stars by whoever's manning Robert Ebert's website these days? I was genuinely offended by how this film managed to be both extremely stupid and pretentious; it was a chore from start to finish (minus those scenes I mentioned) and no self-respecting person should ever watch it.

I'm new to Obsidian, imported my notes into it and have been using it for a few days. I tried the graph view and expected my notes to be connected mostly by the folders they are a part of, but folders seem like they don't even appear on the graph view. Folders are the main organisational tool for my notes, I'm sure for a lot of people they are.

As an example: If I have a folder 'Networks' and inside that, a folder 'HTTP', and inside that there is a note about HTTP Protocols, then that note is clearly connected to everything else inside HTTP, and further away, but still very connected to everything inside Networks. But on graph view, the note about HTTP Protocols will be completely alone. It seems like tags are the main way of connecting things but I don't find them very useful so far.

Another question, what is the purpose of canvas and how does it differ from a normal note/graph view? Is it just supposed to collect notes in a way that creates a visual flow between the shared ideas? Because to me, that seems like the point of graph view. thanks.

Hi everyone, UK based here.
I was looking into seeing what my options were in regards to "sporty" hybrid coupes were in the UK and the majority of my searches narrowed down to the lexus RC300h (if I had more money the LC would be an option ha ha).
I had the oppourtunity to test drive the RC last weekend and whilst it was a nice drive with a good pick up speed at traffic lights, one thing I noted was the onboard mpg that the car calculated was only 33.5mpg? From my the advertised fuel economy I was expecting somewhere much more nearer the 50ish range. For context my current VW polo averages 44mpg so I was a bit shocked.
Does anyone have any first hand experience regarding the RC300h and its fuel economy? I know that online video reviewers state there are much better comparisons in BMW & Audi with better fuel economy but there were not hybrid and I am looking into hybrids possibly as the next logical step for my next car and to consider low emission zone policies in the nearby area and to reduce eventual fuel price increases.

Would anyone also be able to give me insight into whether that 1 non-lexus servicing history would make it void for me taking it to a lexus dealership for a hybrid battery health check which I think lexus are able to do for up to 100,000 miles? Please correct me if I'm wrong!

When I export my projects as a zip file and open it on another computer, it only opens the raw audio files and does not open piano role files or any of the plugins I used in the entire file, and doesn’t send the raw audio files to the channels they were originally sent to on my other computer for their intended effects.
I have all the same plugins downloaded on both computers, the only problem I can think of is that the plugins on my new computer are updated versions of the ones I have been using on the older computer… but even then, FL studio native plugins do not even show up in the project as they were on my other computer.
Also, if I go and update these plugins on the old computer, will this screw up and reset the effects in my projects? For example, if I have an old version of LABS or Izotope vinyl and then update it to the newest version, will it seamlessly update and load my effects the same way without me changing anything, or will I have to reapply that singular effect everywhere with the updated plugin.
I have tried exporting the channel stems by themselves and loading them in but all this does is show up in recent files and is not able to be opened or applied to the file with the raw audio data.
I really just want to be able to save and work on these projects on another computer without the fear of losing them if something happens to my old computer.
Is there a step I’m missing to get these backups working right? Thanks for your help!

My boyfriend and I have been dating for 2 years and both 18. Seven months ago he broke up with me because of a coworker he liked and they had been flirting on snap. Three days later he comes back to me and after I got back together I found out about the real reason he broke up with me. He deleted snapchat and redownloaded it a month later to keep in contact with his guy friends. A girl from his school became number one fast but I gave him the benefit of the doubt.
Recently he has been not texting me much and not responding to my texts/snaps. I got a weird feeling and started to check his snapscore and it kept going up by 2 every 5-10 minutes. Two days ago I asked him at one point when we were hanging out if I could see his snapchat since I've been insecure and he got defensive and tried to distract me, but I persisted and he gave it to me.
On snapchat that girl was his number one and I looked at their snaps and how much they snapped. He even snapped her when he went to the bathroom when we were hanging out. I looked how much he snapped other girls/his guy friends and he had only snapped them 3 times that day while the girl had columns and it felt like I was scrolling endlessly. From early morning before he even texted me good morning to late at night after we said goodnight.
I told him that made me very uncomfortable and I would like him to unadd her. He said that was controlling so I asked for him to at least stop snapping her. He refused so I opened the snap she sent him and it was something flirtatious. Immediately after I opened it I went back to the chat and her bitmoji popped in. She, again, started to flirt/joke.
We argued about it for 4 hours and at the end I started to cry. He promised he would stop but I asked him if he actually did yesterday and he said he was sending her mass snapbacks. And I feel like that is total BS and he was lying to me again. He told me she is "only just a friend" and that she doesn't like him. I don't know if he likes her but the way she talked to him I could just tell as a girl that she's very interested.
He refuses to stop snapping her, to unadd her, and I asked if he could send her a picture of me at least to her to make me feel better and he also refused that. Last night over text we had another argument and he tried to make small talk to me this morning since he got his wisdom teeth removed but I've been a little cold since I'm trying to do with my emotions.
I love him to death and we genuinely get along so good when this isn't brought up. But ever since early May when he was snapping someone that he wouldn't tell me who (I'm guessing it was her since she was number 1 even then), we've been arguing a lot. We had a talk and he told me he doesn't want to break up but he doesn't want a relationship full of arguing. We've only been arguing over this specific girl and how I am uncomfortable. He tried to reassure me that he loves me and that he always will and that "they're just friends."
I asked him why he snapped her so much, almost every minute of the day, and nobody else and also the fact he's barely been responding to me but he just says he loves me and nothing is going on. Even though when I barely touched his phone he would snatch it up before I found out about her flirting with him and him not putting a stop to it.
I would love to work things out and he said he wanted us to work out too. But when I ask him anything about that girl he hates it and it starts an argument. All of Wednesday we fought about it, last night we fought about it, and today we haven't really spoken. I feel like I'm being immature and dramatic cause this is all from snapchat but he talks to her way more he does with me and any of his guy friends. And she also flirted with him over text while his phone has in my hand but he said that wasn't flirting. I've been worried from this so I'm thinking of doing something nice for him and surprise him with it to make amends.
Should I put my swords down and be patient to see what happens since it's only snapping right now? Should I give him an ultimatum that he can continue to snap her but I'm out or he can get rid of her on snapchat and I'll stay? Or just leave since he obviously wants to keep her around? He said this is different from the other girl he broke up with for and that he wouldn't do that. I was thinking about giving space for a week and not talk at all until next Thursday since he's healing from his wisdom teeth and I am emotional from this.
I genuinely do think that he loves me and I love him a lot. But I think that he is taking me for granted with this situation and uses me as a security blanket. I just don't understand why he can't stop talking to her
TL;DR- boyfriend broke up with me seven months ago for another girl and now there is a weird girl that he's defensive over and refuses to stop talking to. Tells me I'm overthinking it and that he loves me even though she is the only person he snaps.

Hello everyone, I'm here to share a project I've been working for the past day - a 'Dogs In Danger Daily' Twitter Bot! 🤖🐶
What it does: It scrapes data from DogsInDanger.com and posts a random dog in danger of euthanization, raising awareness and increasing the chances of adoption. It grabs the location of the adoption center and includes appropriate hashtags to give Twitter users who live in the state a higher chance to view.
It also posts every few hours a memorial tribute to a fallen dog (name and picture), who never got the chance to a better life.

Why I created the bot: As an animal lover, it pains me to see countless dogs in shelters with uncertain futures. Determined to help anyway I can, I channeled my passion for programming to create this twitter bot. As a junior developer, I have troubles finding valuable project ideas and figured something like this not only helps me grow my skills but can help make a difference.

So I have a twin brother, who has recently become a dad and he loves it, I'm happy for him, he's always wanted kids...
But since becoming a parent it's become his whole identity, we used to talk about all sorts of random shit, get in to overly nerdy hypotheticals and spend hours talking in the phone about all sorts, it was nice to share my adventures and experiences with him but now after 10 months it's all he ever talks about, he thinks everyone is as interested in her as he is....and I'm just not, I've told him I'm not having kids, I'm not interested in them, I want to live my life with my fiancée not be stuck with a financial and social parasite for the next 18+ years.
Im happy he's a good (if some what over bearing) dad... But I miss the weirdo I used to talk in the phone to for hours.
I hope he rediscovers himself.
