Comcast xfinity wyomissing pa

I am in San Francisco and curious if I am alone in an intermittent connection issue.
Since about June 1st we have had unpredictable internet outages, to the point where both my wife and I have exhausted our hot spot data allowances. At first they went through all the usual things -- restart modem, factory restart, check cables, restart remotely. No change. Finally I requested a tech come out which was scheduled 3 days later. In the meantime, I get a call from the "Advanced Resolution Team" who ask me a series of questions and then say, "yeah you need a tech".
The tech arrives and took one look at my MoCA adapter and said "that's your problem right there!" and didn't consider anything else. Despite it having worked fine for 3 years. He said it causes "ingress problems" whatever that means, I could find nothing online saying it could be an issue.
He agreed to replace the modem, and I agreed to remove the MoCA and to go to Xfinity store for wifi extenders. But within 20 minutes of him leaving, it was back to intermittent connection. This time MoCA could not be a factor. I tried to reach the company and after endless chat sessions and doing the same remote diagnostics all over again, they agreed to send a tech 2 days later, which will now be tomorrow (6/9).
Last night it was extremely erratic, disconnecting every time we would use it for streaming.
Then just now I get a robocall saying "This is Comcast, technicians identified and corrected an issue related to your service problem, if you would like to cancel the appointment for tomorrow please call us...."
That's all they tell me? Yes, it's been working OK for the last couple of hours and I don't want to make a tech come here for no reason, but I would really like a better explanation than this. I can't get one from the chatbot. Was the MoCA a problem? Can I hook it up again? Was it unrelated? I think I deserve answers given the extreme inconvenience this has caused, we both rely on high speed internet for work every day, and we had to make a lot of changes this past week including unnecessary commuting and paying $70 to Verizon to increase our hot spot data.

There have been trucks running new lines on the poles in my neighborhood (near Denkmann Elementary school). The trucks have "Contractor for Comcast" stickers on the side. Anyone know anything about it?

Twice this week a handful of new devices appeared in my “Not Connected” list on the Xfinity app. I never received a notification that a new device connected to my network like I do for all other new devices I’ve ever connected to this Xfi network. I even tested this with a real new device of my own. The first time I thought maybe someone got onto our wifi, so I changed the pw to both the wifi and admin portal. But then it happened again the next day, so I checked all internal devices for viruses, but can’t find anything. The devices never show connected, and they are named very standard names like “Nintendo-F1DE” or “Samsung-0133”, as if they weren’t connected long enough for the router to determine all the more detailed information it normally does for new devices. Could this be something like the Comcast moCa poe issue? Or something more nefarious? I can’t find any logs showing these devices ever really connected, and the network otherwise is normal. Using Comcast Complete and their modem router…

So I logged into my Comcast account today and noticed that my Upload speed shows as 100Mbps, instead of the 25 it used to be. I knew they were increasing it at some point, but didn't know when.
So I did a quick speed test, but I'm still only getting ~25 upload. (I'm also only getting about 700 of the gigabit download but not sure if that is related or it's just a busy time right now.)
I am using my own hardware which I know can make this difficult but my modem is a Netgear CM1000 ( Amazon.com: NETGEAR Cable Modem DOCSIS 3.1 (CM1000) Gigabit Modem, Compatible with All Major Cable Providers Including Xfinity, Spectrum, Cox, For Cable Plans Up to 1 Gbps : Electronics) and my router is a Ubiquiti Dream Machine, so they should both be able to handle it.
Is there anything specific I need to know before I try troubleshooting this?
It's not like a "To get the full speeds you must be using Comcast equipment" situation is it?

So my internet (Xfinity from Comcast) for the last week or so will randomly go out throughout the day. When it goes out it seems to come back on after 1 - 2 minutes. If I happen to be at my PC (windows 10) I'll "Troubleshoot problems" using the network icon and usually it resets the ethernet adaptor and it works again.
When it cuts out, it completely cuts out. Online games kick me out, streaming stops, webpages won't load, etc.
It's worth noting that this is happening to my entire household internet, wired and wifi. The modem connection lights cut out.
It's also worth noting that my mom lives in the same building and has Xfinity as well but has not had issues this week.
I've had this service for 5 years and the modem for just as long and this is the first time this has started happening.
I've tried restarting the modem (unplug, wait 30 seconds, re-plug) multiple times.
I've also checked the outage map and that looks good.
I've chatted with Xfinity agents 4 times and they've all assured me they fixed the issue only to have it happen again. When I asked the last 2 agents what the issue was, one said it was "a glitch in the cable" and the other said my modem needed to be "refreshed" from time to time and that they did that via a signal.
I don't know much about network stuff so, I don't know what's going on. I thought maybe my modem needs to be replaced but I don't want to buy a new one if the issue is something else.

Comcast (Xfinity) has their DNS servers hardcoded into their gateways, and denys any 3rd party dns server requests and redirects traffic to their servers. Is their anyway I can bypass this through dns tunneling or dnscrypt. Im just trying to setup PiHole, any feedback/help is much appreciated!

I have spent over an hour trying to reach someone at Xfinity to downgrade my service. In the chat, I was given an 800 number to call, which led me to have one of the most unpleasant customer service conversations I have ever experienced. The rep kept trying to sell me Plan Protection, which was both baffling and incredibly annoying, since I told I told her at least three times I was not interested; yet she persisted. I finally had to hang up!
So here's my issue: I have Internet and TV through Comcast/Xfinity, but we don't use the cable TV at all. (We access entertainment through Amazon, Netflix, Apple, etc.) It also appears as though we're being charged for equipment that we don't have. (I attempted to return it online and there's nothing to return.)
Since I was unsuccessful reaching anyone via chat or phone who could help, I'm hoping someone here can assist me to downgrade our service so we're not paying for services we don't use.

Looking for places around Frederick where I can sit outside with a laptop and connect to the internet.
For example, Comcast has hotspots in many places (if you're an Xfinity subscriber).
And of course, many businesses have complimentary Wi-Fi which you can sometimes connect to from a nearby spot outside.

Hello I am a beginner raspberry pi user. I saw on this website that you could use a raspberry pi with pi-hole to block ads in your network; I read several guides and it seemed simple enough.
Day 1: I live in the US, and have internet through Comcast Xfinity. I ordered a raspberry pi zero w and was able to install pi-hole following these steps: https://www.raspberrypi.com/tutorials/r ... pberry-pi/ . However, once I needed to change the router’s default DNS server to pi-hole, I realized that the Xfinity modem-router does not allow you to change the DNS address.
Day 2: I connected my Linksys dual-band router to the Xfinity modem-router in bridge mode. I have followed the same steps as in the tutorial above but now I am stuck at the point where sudo apt update runs into the following problem which prevents me from running the pi-hole installation:

Is there something I need to change in my router?
Any help would be appreciated; I am very new to this and I would like to understand what I am doing wrong. Thank you.

Carini - Deploying an array of instruments and effects, including the theremin and bass effects, the band uses these tools to create a lush, densely textured and largely upbeat jam which -> to "Taste."
Taste - -> in from a excellent "Carini." Page is great in this version, which is also features Trey playing both a "Norwegian Wood" tease early in his solo, as well as the "NICU" riff signaling the concluding section. > to a strong "Ghost."
Boogie On Reggae Woman - Segues out of "Ghost" and includes some serious hose from Trey and reaches several satisfying peaks. Drops back into a funk groove for the last minute and the jam fades away into "If I Could".
If I Could - > in from a powerful "Boogie On." Heartfelt and thoughtfully executed version adds a graceful ending to an impressive string of improvisational music.

Fee - Like 7/5/98, a vocal flub leads to an extended outro jam that quickly moves beyond the norm. Page's ambient effects and Trey's use of the whammy pedal combine to create a jam reminiscent of the late '90's sound.
Sand - One of the first great jams of 3.0. This version contains an old-school groove which goes "type 2" via a funk jam and an uplifting conclusion by way of a repetitive, descending riff from Trey.
Tweezer - The "Camden Tweezer." Old school, repetitive, amazing groove. Like a '92-'94 version.

After forgetting the lyrics to Fee, Trey remarked that "We knew this one backstage." This show marked the debuts of Sugar Shack and Joy. Possum - Several sections have a bleak and desolate tone, especially from 4:30 - 5:45, but the foreboding sentiment returns later.
Taste - Debut. Jam section features the same spiraling Trey and Page musicianship, but the lyrics, vocalist, and ending would remain a work in progress for another year. "The Fog That Surrounds" and "Taste That Surrounds" are both very similar (related) songs performed in 1995 as the band tinkered with the format for "Taste." The Wedge - "The Wedge" reemerges to close a 135 show gap. Notable principally for the now-familiar Fish-driven intro, this compact version also features cool and confident play from Trey.
Theme From the Bottom - Jam section has an unusual, repeated descending chord progression. At 8:20, it morphs into a creepy, nerve-rattling jam, returning to "Theme" proper at 9:55. The quality versions from 6/25/95 and 7/1/95 have a similar descending chord structure.

I live in downtown and while I am not a fan of Comcast, I’ve never had the internet down this long. It’s been out since 10am this morning. It’s 8:30 PM. I went to the Xfinity store on 400 South before they closed and they said a bucket truck caught the line and ripped it down. Something isn’t adding up. Does anyone know what’s going on?

I'm trying to cancel Comcast's cable internet so I can switch to fiber internet. I asked chat support, and they said to call "1-800-XFINITY (934-6489)" to cancel. I have a feeling I'll be on hold for 1-2 hours. Just want to ask if anyone has a better way to cancel Comcast's service.
Just a quick rant, I had an issue today with my bill that needs a small fix and they ended up switching my internet plan to the same one I'm already on and almost bricked my entire network trying to reset the configuration for no reason.
I was in chat support for 2+ hours getting passed around and ended up fixing it myself. Real nice of them to spit in my face for the last time after 12 years. Now there are other internet competitors in my area, it's my turn to do the spitting.

several months ago you all helped me with my speeds after my initial transition.
I find I am now in a limbo land between Comcast business and Xfinity - I transitioned because I no longer need the SLA business class provides.
In the change over I overlooked the last payment and since then Comcast business has ruled over me (the bill was paid some time ago) and the app keeps saying I do not have coverage and I cannot seem access my account to fix this.
I have tried twice with little success to get them to release me (as would have been the case with any other non-related company).
If you could assist I would truly appreciate it.
