Columbia OutDry Extreme Mesh Hooded Shell 640
2023.06.02 23:00 Peaches_offtrail Columbia OutDry Extreme Mesh Hooded Shell 640
Columbia is obnoxious when it comes to:
- discontinuing products randomly, and
- not listing weights of their shit
I've needed to replace one of my featherweight jackets (7.2 oz), which I've
reviewed extensively, because of abrasion from my backpack that finally started destroying the membrane layer. I ended up getting a women's large from eBay with similar weight. That's starting to go, and they've discontinued the featherweight, and won't tell me shit about new weights.
I managed to do a warranty claim on the featherweight, and ordered their new Extreme Mesh Hooded Shell.
The performance is going to be identical to the Featherweight. The real only difference is the weight.
Tragically, the Columbia OutDry Ex Mesh weight is
10.7 oz for a Men's small on my scale (303 grams)
I'm posting this solely so that the weight is out there for others wondering the spec, as it doesn't seem to exist. The "Eco Mesh" I believe is heavier, as they use cotton rather than polyester for the mesh liner.

2023.05.31 18:56 Full-fledged-trash Construction process of my converted detolf to gecko enclosure. Scroll to see all my steps and see body text for details.
Here is my entire build and most of my process going through design and build phases. Built for my gargoyle gecko The completed pictures are first followed by a cardboard box I had to plan out the design and all of my supplies. Then the steps I went through are mostly in order. I ventilated the top by cutting out a big hole and adding sturdy heat proof metal mesh. Secured with tacks and siliconed the sharp edges and any gaps. I also sanded and spread a layer of siliconed all the exposed wood. Please excuse the shoddy silicone work My bottom is sealed by a pane of glass(one of the shelves laying flat and another standing to hold the substrate) I added in and smoothed out a TON of silicone to hold and seal the glass. I did a water test for the drainage layer which was successful but my paranoia made me fit and silicone in a plastic liner(carefully making sure all folds will prevent water from leaking down between the liner and the bottom). You can see the liner in the last two pictures. All detolf wood was first polyurethaned before I did anything and I also spread silicone up the back corners to the top to prevent water from getting in the plastic pieces that hold the glass together. There is also a piece of foam between the vertical glass that hold the substrate in the bottom and my glass door to prevent my gecko from going between the two glass panes. I used pond foam to build my two trees with cork bark and to secure them into the tank. Trimmed down the shiny bits of foam and sealed the foam with silicone and covered it in substrate. All the pots on the trees have drainage holes except one which has a tube to syphon water out of the drainage layer as well as a syphon tube in bottom of the enclosure. All the vines are secured with silicone and there are 6 actual hides (but my gecko only uses 2 or sleeps in the open). I plan on adding plastic pieces over the siliconed liner very soon to prevent my gecko from pulling the liner seal away as he climbs up the glass from the bottom. My door is weather stripped mainly to prevent my gecko’s tail from coming out since he really liked to stick it through the cracks. And I have an added mini fan on top if I need extra ventilation but with my vented top my humidity ranges fluctuate perfectly and I don’t need it often. The soil is all adjusted per plants drainage needs but is an overall homemade ABG mix. The plant lights are all submersible aquarium LEDs. Plant list is Schefflera, phal, blue star fern, philodendron, parlor palm, croton, gold dust croton, syngongium, Dracaena marginata tricolor, Sanderiana variegata Let me know if you have any questions!Everything was built within a week of buying my detolf so didn’t take very long with my extensive planning submitted by Full-fledged-trash to IkeaGreenhouseClub [link] [comments]
2023.05.31 17:29 VCAMM1 Kiddo finally sleeping in his own bed!
Prefacing this with, yes, we always followed safe sleep recommendations and co-sleeping didn't start until it was safe to do so.
My 4 year old has been co-sleeping with us for a long time. My husband often works night shifts and gets home around 10-11pm so I am the one home with our son getting dinner, bath and bed time done. So I would let him snuggle me to fall asleep, and that pretty much morphed into him just sleeping in my bed all night. Once we got rid of the crib and got him an actual bed, he was really resistant to sleeping by himself. I was losing HOURS of time and sleep. I would be in his room with him until he was asleep for 30-90 minutes reading books and just trying to get him comfy and then try to sneak out. Sometimes I would even fall asleep in there with him, wake up an hour or two later and then I would tip toe to my bed and not 5 minutes would go by before he would wake up and start calling for me. Like he would wake from a dead sleep. I swear he could sense my non-presence. I bought blankets, so many blankets. Sonic, Pikachu, Spiderman, PJ Masks. I bought a mesh thingy with lights to hang over his bed. I bribed him with "If you just sleep in your big boy bed we can get you this toy or go do this thing". I could tell he tried but was really anxious about being in there alone.
We would do this song and dance of him waking up, me going to his room to get him back to sleep and then trying to get back in my bed 2, 3, 4 times a night before I would give up and let him come sleep with us. Don't get me wrong, my husband would also go over to his room to try and get him back to sleep but sometimes he just whined and asked for me. He is such a restless sleeper, too. All night long I would wake up from him basically kicking me off of the bed or alligator rolling on my hair and pulling the blankets off of me. Well, last weekend, he puked in our bed. We had to completely strip it down and wash everything and we both had to shower off. It was so bad. That led to me just sleeping in his room with him and my husband on the couch. The next night, husband offered to sleep in his room with him. We had also been trying to hype our son up all day like "WOW YAY you slept in your bed! Let's do it again!". I slept alone, and like a ROCK. 3rd night, the stars perfectly aligned. I took him to bed and read 4 or 5 books. I gathered them to go swap out with new ones from the shelf and when I turned back around he was asleep. He slept in his own bed ALL NIGHT LONG AND DID NOT WAKE UP! Last night, it took him a little longer to get to sleep, but he did. I was able to have some time to wind down time in front of the tv by myself. He did wake up at around 3am and called for me. I went over and tucked him back in with a kiss and he was right back out.
VICTORY. THE DAWNING OF A NEW ERA! I just wanted to share my success with you other mommas. If you made it this far, thanks for reading!

2023.05.30 16:36 xDictate Trip report - One week in Portugal
My wife and I took a trip to Portugal early December of 2022, and we had a really solid time. The food experiences were amazing and getting to take in so much old-world architecture was awe-inspiring.
Focus: Our main focus was lazy tourism and fine dining between Porto and Lisbon. We ended the trip with a 9 hour layover in Toronto, which we used to visit friends and some of our favorite Toronto spots.
Weather: The week was mostly sunny with some rain interspersed, and average temperatures seeming to be mid-teens. Toronto at the time was cold and snow-covered.
Accomodations: We ended up doing hotels as they were rather cheap.
Some photos below, along with some detailed notes of the packing list. Photos may be missing some things due to last minute substitutions, tried to note that.
Bag of choice: - Peak Design 30L Travel Bag - This thing felt like a black hole, and seemed to hold more than the size would indicate. This is heads above my old Bellroy Transit and I'm happy I made the switch.
Worn clothing: - Ministry of Supply Atlas Sweater - Not pictured, pictured is a Heattech Ultrawarm sweater I didn't take. Merino blend, soft, warm. All I could ask for. I surprisingly didn't use it much more than just the flight there, but I'm happy I had it on me.
- Ministry of Supply Composite Merino tee - The cut fits me well, anti-wrinkle, and surprising resistance to smells even with only being 15% merino. I got a good 2-3 wears out of this.
- Saxx Quest 2.0 Boxer Briefs - GOAT for travel, these things wear well, hand wash well, and dry overnight.
- Smartwool full cushion crew socks - Merino socks! They were warm and wore well! Smartwool tends to be realtively affordable when on sale, and they've held up very well.
- Lululemon ABC pants skinny - Warpstreme fabric is lovely and in black looks like a pretty standard pair of pants. This is actually the only pants I wore the whole trip.
- Pontos The Pacific shoe - These have been awesome. Very comfortable to walk in, and they dress up or down really nicely. These did cobblestone, grass, rocks, sand, snow, rain, etc, and they looked great doing it. I found I needed to pull the insoles end of the day, but by morning they were dry and fresh again.
- Arcade Midnighter belt - Not pictured. Stretchy black belt!
Packed clothing: - Seagale Action Merino Tee (2) - black tees, easy care, love the fit. They hand wash really well if necessary, but I got 3 wears out of these easily. Having this tee on for the 24+ hours of travel on the leg home was a godsend, great moisture management and incredibly soft.
- Ministry of Supply Composite Merino tee - Grey. The cut fits me well, anti-wrinkle, and surprising resistance to smells even with only being 15% merino. I got a good 2-3 wears out of this.
- Ministry of Supply Apollo Raglan Sleeve Sport Shirt - Basically a button down. This thing fits awesome and doesn’t wrinkle. Standard sleeves would be better but this dresses up well enough - I wore this out to 6 different restaurants in Portugal, and even gave it a whole day as a layer over a tee, and it was very comfortable and performant. No need to wash between wears with a tee under it.
- Ministry of Supply Pace Chinos - I didn't actually wear these, the ABCs were plenty enough for the trip.
- Lululemon T.H.E. Shorts 7” - We didn’t have access to any pools or spas while there, so these were dead weight. Considering they weigh almost nothing though, not a big loss.
- Saxx Quest 2.0 Boxer Briefs (3) - 1 black, 2 grey. I’ve had these for a while and they’re probably still my favorite style from Saxx. They hand wash and dry well, and they’re comfortable. All I can ask for. I washed each pair once over the trip, and they dried overnight.
- Uniqlo Airism Boxers (2) - Sleep shorts. Hand washed once each, and they dried overnight.
- Smartwool Full Cushion Crew Socks (2) - Merino socks! What’s more to say. Smartwool is affordable while on sale and has some great durability. I’ve been happy with my pairs so far. I washed each pair once over the trip, and they really just needed a one day dry. I think the number of socks packed was pretty ideal.
- Smartwool No Show Socks - I didn’t need or use these, but having the emergency socks was a nice include. They’re small and didn’t really add any weight.
Outer Layers: - Patagonia Nano Puff Jacket - Wind proof, water resistant, very insulating. Packs down rather small. I’ve moved to synthetic insulation as it keeps warm when wet unlike down jackets. This held up well to a bit of rain while we were there and kept me warm enough most days.
- Patagonia Torrentshell 3L - Water proof. Wind proof. A bit crinkly, and didn’t really get a lot of use in Portugal due to the lack of heavy rain. Also being waterproof it tends to keep heat in just as well as it keeps water out, so combined with the nano puff it offered pretty good insulation for Toronto.
- Smartwool Glove Liners - Just some basic gloves. They work with touch screens, that’s cool I guess! Solid for Toronto.
- Merino Buff - Part neck gaiter, part sleep mask for the flight. It was awesome to have. On tour buses with an open roof it was very nice to have a bit of insulation I could throw into a sling.
Electronics: - Tom Bihn Ghost Whale Small - This contains my charging and camera connectivity kit, and it’s a tight squeeze but everything fits.
- Mophie 6000mah universal PD battery - Not the smallest or lightest battery, but it supports lightning input, and also does passthrough charging, which makes it the centerpiece for my tiny charging empire.
- Apple SD card readers - These just work, and they work well. Both Lightning and USB-C. Once the iPhone goes to USB-C I can drop the Lightning one. Let’s me ingest RAW files onto any of my devices. I didn’t need the Lightning one, but it’s just a standard in the bag now, so along it came.
- Anker Powerport III Nano 30W - Super slim, 30w charging. It’s been a standard for me for a while.
- Anker Cables - 3ft USB-C to Lightning and 3ft USB-C to USB-C. Covers all my device charging needs.
- Fujifilm X100V - Killer camera, compact, fun to shoot with.
- Tom Bihn Utility Cloth - It’s a wool square! It’s moonlighting as a camera wrap here, but it can be anything! Neck gaiter? Check. Very small blanket? Check. Table cloth? You bet. The options are limitless for the wool square! This was actually an MVP - The tiny blanket feature came in handy on tour buses, and it worked great for wiping down wet seats on a boat tour.
- Keys - Featuring an Airtag, and the final member of the charging gang, an InchargeX. I’ve also got a Nite Ize Doohickey on there for bottles and boxes. The Doohickey is awesome as it passes through airport security without issues and does a good enough job of what it’s designed to do.
- Airpods Pro - Basically perfect headphones for short stints. Reasonable battery life, great noise cancelling, agreeable sound quality. Overall solid.
- Destination Specific adapters (2) - Two is one and one is none, or something like that.
- iPad Mini 6 - Used for editing photos, reading on the plane, larger view for maps, etc.
- iPhone 12 - Works well with everything else I own. I grabbed an eSIM from Airalo on MEO, giving me 30gb of data for 15 days.
- Sony WH-1000XM4 - Not pictured. These were great for the 6-8 hour transatlantic flights. A last minute pick but I’m glad they made it into the bag.
A quick note on my charging setup: The whole setup for charging with my InchargeX allows me to charge two devices overnight AND my battery off a single 30w slim wall adapter. This is about as close as I can get to a perfect tiny charging setup. The iPhone plus the battery is plenty enough to get me through even the heaviest of days, into a second day. Toiletries: - Exfoliating cloth - Nylon textured cloth that’s basically an unravelled loofah. So easy to get a lather and you feel a lot cleaner after a good exfoliating scrub. I use one of these at home now too. I’d like to find a face cloth sized one for travel.
- Unscented Company Shampoo bar and soap bar - Stored in Matador soap cases. These lather really well, clean great, and support my “all solids” agenda for travel. They work great for cleaning clothes too. I’ve been using these at home instead of liquids, and can’t complain. We were never without toiletries due to the hotels, but I prefer these.
- Philips One Toothbrush - Next time I’d probably just get a cover for the head as I think the case was a bit large. I liked having the electric function though.
- Various OTC meds - Stored in Nalgene containers, these little things are waterproof and well built.
- Lush Dirty Toothy Tabs - Toothpaste replacement and my go-to for a while. Enough for both myself and my wife.
- Hair Bands - Two is one and one is none, or something like that.
- Xiaomi Mijia S100 shaver - New to me, picked it over a Philips OneBlade. Dual rotary shaver, compact, USB-C charging. I don’t get a lot of facial hair growth but I get enough that I like touching up every couple days. This did the trick. Might try to go back to a manual razor like a mach 3.
- Native Deodorant - Been my go-to for a while. I can’t seem to find a travel size in Canada, but this would be a huge space saver if I could. I may consider melting it down and re-packing it as some enterprising individuals on the internet have before me.
- Folding brush - I’ve had this for ages, and it’s been awesome.
Everything else: - Bellroy Lite Sling - Very flexible in load out, the 7L size made for a very good holding capacity to size ratio. This functioned as my camera bag and held essentials when transiting through airports or while on trains.
- Tom Bihn Ghost Whale Super Mini - Bag of holding for…
- Ray-Ban Folding Wayfarers - Matte black, high quality, compact. Non-polarized. Perfect fit in the ghost whale and always with me for sunny days. These were great for the trip as we had a lot of sunny days.
- Apple Magsafe Wallet - Not much to say here, standard 3 card carry - ID, debit card, credit card.
- Vapur Eclipse bottle - Didn’t actually use this, but fit in one of the mesh side pouches in my Peak Design bag handily.
- PackTowl Large - Came in handy when we were short a few towels in the hotel the first day in Porto.
- KN95 Masks (3) - Black, used on the airplanes. We didn’t get sick on the trip!
- Matador Packable Tote - Was useful for day excursions, shopping, etc. 18L packs down into a very compact size and it’s a robust bag.
- Passport - Well this is kinda needed for international travel. I also had my Presto (Toronto transit payment card) and alternate credit card in here as a just in case.
What Worked: Overall I think my packing list is cohesive enough and walked the line between casual and nice enough for a good restaurant. I've been working with a lot of this clothing for a while so it's been tested heavily through the rigors of daily wear, and I was very confident in my choices going in. The massive standout was the wool utility cloth - I think more people need these!
What could have been improved: I overpacked on a few things like pants and shorts, which really are just small things. The Pontos were awesome for the trip, but I feel like I would have done better with a pair of Blundstones or a similar Chelsea style boot. I also wish I could find a more casual looking "technical" jacket for daily wear, but the options are limited from what I can find. I think I could have dropped the iPad too, although it didn't take up a whole lot of space and was great for editing photos in downtime or reading on the plane. The Mijia shaver was okay but not amazing.

2023.05.30 03:46 Ok_Tale_2384 Mesh crib bumpers
I have read and see that mess bumpers are a risk. Can someone please explain to me why? All i can find on google is that baby can become caught between mesh and crib but that doesn't make sense unless you have a teeny weenie newborn ish baby. My baby is 8.5 months and huge. Is it still a risk? Is it a risk in the way EVERYTHING is a risk (i.e. baby swings, bouncers, binkies in bed, etc). If it is unsafe how is it different than the mesh on a pack n play or bassinet? I am not trying to sound snarky or anything just genuinely confused.
Sorry if this is a dumb question but I would like to get a mesh one that goes around the whole thing (not braided, cushioned, pillow, etc) but it says theyre not safe.

2023.05.30 02:44 Eco-Gendarme M48 liner upgrade
Here's a little upgrade I did to my M48 helmet liner for my future videos and short films on my YouTube channel. While the M44 goggles look cool on it, I thought about taking it a step further. So I added a steel mesh face shield and a fictional badge which I created on my own. I tried to make it similar to the Nepali Armed Police Force since they've been using the same helmets since the 60s-70s, maybe even the 50s. Not camouflaged I admit, but I think it looks equally cool. On the other hand, I would value your opinions to know what you're thinking, so feel free to comment. submitted by Eco-Gendarme to Helmets [link] [comments]

2023.05.29 16:24 Level_Performer5252 Plus Size OneBag to Amsterdam, Paris and London for 2 weeks
I am almost finished packing for 2 week trip to Europe. We are flying into Amsterdam, then we’ll take the train to Paris, and then to London before flying home from London.
I am a plus size woman and always looking to hear how other women like me onebag. So I decided to share my packing experience.
This is not my first time onebagging but it is my first time with this bag. I am using a roll top bag by Reload. I’ve tried clam shells and they just don’t work as well for my size clothing. I also don’t like a lot of miscellaneous pockets because they mostly end up unused. I prefer different size cubes and small bags to coral my stuff within my bag.
Here is what I am packing (items worn will be listed separately):
- 2 tanks for layering
- 1 long sleeve lightweight sun protection shirt (it is see through and needs to be layered)
- 1 3/4 sleeve sun protection top
- 1 short sleeve bohemian style top
- 1 black tee that can be worn in 3 different styles (tank or tee, flowy front or crew neck)
- 1 sleeveless flowy blouse
- 1 flowy black dressy pants (these feel like sweatpants but look dressy)
- 1 black pants with straight legs (again feel like sweatpants but are structured)
- 1 bohemian pattern lightweight sun protection pants)
- 3 pairs merino socks
- 4 pairs mesh panties
- 2 no thigh rub shorts to wear under sun pants and as PJs
- 1 cotton t shirt for sleeping/lounging
- bra
My toiletries are limited as I don’t wear makeup and will use items the hotels provide. I also try to avoid liquids as much as possible. - small deodorant - nasal spray - steroid cream - toothpaste pills (chew up and it makes a paste to brush with) - powers toothbrush - Bobby pins and combs - travel hair straightener - sunglasses - extra prescription glasses - glasses wipes - liners, tampons and pads - medicine (prescription, Advil, nexium, misc.)
For technology, I travel light when the trip is for pleasure. - kindle (fully charged with books preloaded in airplane mode) - charger that switches out plug types for both EU and UK style plugs - this will charge my phone and my power bank. - power bank that is about the size of a phone - misc port converters (lightning to aux for headphone, usb a to usb c) - lightning earbuds (I don’t use them except on the plane/train, so it’s not worth bringing Bluetooth ones.)
What I’ll wear: - blank pants (dupe of structured ones I packed) - layering tank - black flowy top - gray jean jacket - merino socks - alegria slip on shoes (my only pair of shoes) - bucket hat - long silver necklace - bra and mesh panties
I’ll also have an inflatable travel pillow with a hood so I can cover my face while sleeping on the plane/train. And I’ll have a small belt bag/sling for my phone, wallet, keys, passport, lip gloss, and a few snacks.
And that’s it! I love having all my stuff in one bag and being able to just go. I will wash panties in the shower with me. The rest can likely be re worn after airing it and steaming it while in the shower. I won’t be swimming or exercising (aside from walking). The forecast looks decent so I’m not bringing a rainy coat. I’ll get a cheap umbrella if needed. I really try to stay away from packing my fears. It’s not always perfect, but anything forgotten can be replaced during the trip, especially in such mainstream places.
The roll top will give me the chance to add a few souvenirs and gifts along the way. And if there is something big I want, I will likely ship it home.

2023.05.27 23:08 2RV7VR5 Nike Air Max 1 Escape. Premium?
Not sure why these have the ‘premium’ branding. Must be the added trees because the recently released Sand Drift feels much more premium with softer sock liner, insole, mesh, tongue and leather tongue tab. Swapped out the green laces with the gold splatter for the white laces that came with it. Looks much better. submitted by 2RV7VR5 to Sneakers [link] [comments]
2023.05.27 02:36 SeattleHikeBike Exped Typhoon 25 as an Under Seat Option
I waded through the crowds at REI today and made it to the Re/Supply retuned goods area (aka gear garage) and found an Exped Typhoon 25 backpack at a greatly reduced price, returned because the buyer need a larger bag.
It struck me as a very universal and ultralight bag. It has my prerequisite sternum strap and water bottle pockets and it’s a waterproof roll top design. It’s as basic as a pack can be for my use.
https://imgur.com/a/fu1yD19 I loaded it up with an Eagle Creek medium compression cube with 3x socks/briefs/tees and an Osprey Ultralight Garment Folder with a pair of long pants, a pair of hybrid shorts, two button down shirts and a light Merino sweater. I folded an ultralight rain shell and tucked that alongside the compression cube. I added two Osprey Liquids Bags (3-1-1 TSA bags): one for toiletries and the other for small tech.
This was a quick and dirty trial packing. I took no care in folding and rolling, so it could be more efficient. I think it’s a good combination for a minimal kit.
With the pack loaded and the top rolled down as far as possible, it is a loose 16.5”-17” tall, 10.25” wide and 8” deep (43x26x20cm). My scale read 8 pounds 2 ounces (3.67kg). I could easily add another pound of EDC odds and ends. I would definitely stay under 10 pounds/4.5kg. It’s a very unstructured bag and just not made for heavy stuff. The factory suggested limit is 11 pounds/5kg and I agree. The unrolled length is 25” and the empty bag weighs 15.6oz/440g.
So it’s a go for use with Frontier and others with an 18”x14”x8” limit and Ryanair actual sizer limits too. Once I have dumped the contents, it’s a perfectly good day pack.
It is unstructured enough that it can pack flat in an overhead bag. The daisy chain spacing will allow this bag to be mounted on the front of the Osprey Farpoint/Fairview 40 with the cross-straps threaded through the daisy chains.
The bag has a full lining (bright green on this one), a zippered inside pocket. The waist belt simply loops through loops on the bottom corners so it can be removed or replaced in second and with no hardware other than the main buckle.
Features from the Exped web site:
- Integrated waterproof liner for full weather protection

- Durable fabric in new colorways withstands a day in the crags
- Zippered inner pocket
- Anchor point for bike light

2023.05.27 00:44 sausagepartay Is a graco playard really a safe (unsupervised) sleep space for a 4mo?
My son started off sleeping in the infant bassinet attachment of this pack n play then we moved him to the full sized bassinet level and then to his crib when he surpassed the 15lb weight limit. We are going out of town for the weekend and I’m trying to figure out if he’s safe sleeping in the bottom level aka playard overnight? The thing that is sketching me out is that there is a few inches of non-mesh siding at the bottom that I feel like is a suffocation hazard. We put him to sleep on his back every night but he always rolls over and sleeps on his stomach. He can’t roll stomach to back yet.

2023.05.26 01:51 wiggleworm17 Vacation advice- cover and Stenner pump- how much chlorine?
Okay, so I am going out of town soon and will be gone for 2 weeks. I currently have a Stenner pump that injects .3 gallons of 10% chlorine a day, to keep it around 2-3 ppm. All levels are fine (minus hard water but that's a city water issue) and it stays clean and clear. I get 4-6 hours of full sun a day, shaded the rest, and temps will be in the 90's-100s when we are gone (mid June in West Texas). The water stays 86 degrees, regulated with a heat pump.
When I go out of town, we are covering the pool with the mesh safety cover. This is because I don't want to have to rely on people to have to come and refill water or empty the skimmer, basically. I know that the cover will reduce sunlight and trap in some heat, but how can I figure out how much less chlorine I need per day while I am gone? I really do not want to overdo it because our liner is about a year old and I am terrified to over chlorinate and bleach it. But I am assuming I won't need as much as I use now.
Advice on how much to inject per day on a covered pool if I currently do .3 gallons uncovered? Anything else I am overlooking?
Thanks!

2023.05.24 23:28 heyelisejoy Any women who’ve tried the men’s fast and free lined shorts?
I (5’9”, 135lbs, F) love the look and ventilation of flowy shorts (like Nike aeroswift or lulu lined fast and frees) for running, but they all seem to have 2-3” inseams, and I can’t do anything shorter than 6” because of chafing 😳
(Granted, I haven’t actually tried bodyglide or other chafing guards over long distances with short inseams, but it seems silly to spend that much on shorts if I’m not certain I’ll even be able to use them!)
So I’m eyeing the men’s 6” fast and frees as an alternative… but have no clue how the sizing would fit on me, or if they’d be as cool/ventilated to wear since the liner is like mesh shorts underneath. Any ladies out here have any experience with them?? Insight would be super appreciated! 🫶
